I like to keep things casual at our football parties. There are usually some guests glued to the TV and others chatting in the kitchen. So the more relaxed the vibe, the better.

But I still want it to look good and taste good. So here are 5 tips for throwing an awesome game day party this football season…

5 GAME DAY PARTY TIPS

  • Set up a buffet table of finger foods

I like to set up a buffet table with finger foods that I keep replenishing. That way people can serve themselves whenever they want to eat, and it doesn’t feel formal.

I usually set out a variety of foods, many in small portions. My goal is to give my guests options.

And also here are some free penalty flag printables to help you decorate.

I always put out lots of drinks so people can help themselves. How cute are these football themed mason jars?

Using artificial turf, white duct tape, and felt letters, you can make a fun statement with your buffet table! Here are more detailed instructions.

  • Set up a well-stocked drink station

Of course nothing goes better with football than Coca-Cola®. I like to serve glass bottles and to keep them ice cold and on the ready.
