The Cricut Cake Decorating Machine -- How Good is it Really?

I'm fascinated by the Cricut Cake Decorating Machine.

For those of you who don't know what it is, it's a food-safe electronic die cutting machine that can be used for cake, cupcake, and cookie decorating.  It's the sister product to the original Cricut paper cutter that most scrapbookers swear by.

Looking into whether the new Cricut lives up to its hype, I found this review by Khris Cochran on DIY Bride and... overall she LOVES it (even with a few caveats).  To read her whole review click here.

And of course, who doesn't want to see some Cricut cakes.  So here are few I found.

But to really see how these things work, you might want to check out this video.

I have to say, I'm impressed.  The one thing that gives me pause is the price.  At $300 (with no extra cartridges) I better be planning to make a whole lot o' cake with it.

If you have any feedback on the Cricut Cake Decorating Machine please post.
