by Jillian Leslie on

It's that time of year when we start seeing the "You've Been Boo'd" signs showing up in our neighborhood. My daughter loves the tradition, especially the secret part... Who "boo'd" us? Whom did you "boo"?

For those who haven't heard about it, it's a fun way to spread the excitement of Halloween (and treats) among friends and neighbors. It's a little like a chain letter mixed with Secret Santa, and it's taking neighborhoods by storm!

Why I Think This Is The Best Craft To Keep Your Kids Busy This Summer

Hawaiian Paper Lei Kids Craft | CatchMyParty.com

Now that we're getting into late summer, your kids have probably watched a fair amount of Netflix. My daughter's actually getting bored of it... what?! :)

So I wanted to bring you this Hawaiian paper lei kid craft to keep your kids engrossed long enough for you to do the laundry and maybe even catch your own favorite Netflix show. What makes this my favorite craft is that it's entertaining for older kids (especially if they're doing the paper punching), simple for the youngsters, there's no big mess to clean up at the end, the supplies are inexpensive, and everyone gets something pretty to wear when done. Told you it was a good one!

Star Wars is huge in my house. When the two teasers came out for the new movie, The Force Awakens, my husband and daughter rushed to watch them, and watched them over and over again.

So when Disney asked me to come up with a few ideas for throwing an easy Star Wars party, I was delighted. I didn't have a lot of time to plan, and I wanted to keep my budget small, so here's how I did it... And I think it turned out great.

Who's ready for summer, especially throwing summer parties? I like entertaining in a super casual way, usually in flip flops. I like BBQs with fresh salads and finger foods. I like paper plates, ice cream sandwiches, and cold beer.

I like easy decorating using free party printables. I can print as many as I want and I can be last-minute about the whole thing, because who wants to rush in summer.
