Today, my daughter, Lainey, created these tie-dye Easter eggs. She used a special “paper towel” technique to get this look. We both had so much fun and the eggs turned out beautifully!

We used empty pudding cup containers for each color dye. This worked great because they were just the right size and no spilling like regular plastic cups!

First, we filled each cup with a different colored dye. Then Lainey wrapped each egg in 1/4 sheet of paper towel.

She dipped different parts of the paper towel in different dyes.

When she unwrapped it…

The paper towel left an interesting polkadot pattern, and the colors really looked like tie-dye! These are some of the prettiest eggs she’s ever made.
