Party Recap

We transformed a baron – but beautiful and clean – penthouse space and made it the perfect place for our 100 family and friends to gather for cocktails, candy, cupcakes, cake, ice cream and... great music on a fun summer’s night. The space had perfect 360 degree views of the New York City skyline and everyone had such a wonderful time celebrating our engagement. As you'll see from the event photos, we had fun dressing up the exposed bathtub and bathroom and seamlessly made the space flow. We created a warm and inviting atmosphere to mingle, with the beautiful city scape as our backdrop on a wonderful August evening that we’ll treasure forever.

  • Norman Block

    Florist

Norman was a gem to work with! After 5 minutes of seeing the raw penthouse space, he knew exactly what the room needed to feel warm and cozy and elegant. Norman was a true genius when it came to "dressing up" the exposed bathtub and open bathrooms. The space flowed seemlessly, smelled and looked incredible and was truly a vision with outstanding views of the NYC skyline.

  • DJ Dean Michaels

    Entertainment

DJ Dean Michaels knew how to get the party started! He played great entrance and easy listening music as guests gathered and knew just when to press play and pump things up! The party wound up going well past 12midnight and DJ Dean kept the beats going.

    Party Planner

I had a blast planning our NYC Engagement Party! This was truly a labor of love - asking my nearest and dearest vendors to help bring my vision to life. The flowers were gorgeous, the space was ideal for our 100 guests on the most perfect summer evening, the food was awesome, the drinks were flowing and the desserts were out of this world. Our guests had the greatest time dining, drinking and dancing (well into the early hours of the next day) and we will forever remember this incredible evening!

  • Holly Haffner

    Photographer

We called Holly within days of getting engaged knowing that she was just the gal to capture beautiful Engagement photos. We scheduled a shoot in NYC's Meatpacking District and the photos came out beautiful. We were then able to put these portraits on display at our NYC Engagement Party - framing pictures for the bookcase in the space and by creating a sign in book with these photos. Everyone loved them. Heidi also photographed the Engagement Party and did a wonderful job capturing party details and us and our family and friends having an amazing evening. http://www.hollyhaffner.com

  • Judy Paulen Designs

    Stationer

Working with Jessica at Judy Paulen Designs was such fun. We wanted something very NYC - very modern and chic. We loved this transparent invite with great silver, raised, fun and flowy lettering. We kept everything silver and black - from the envelope, envelope liner, calligraphy, custom stamp and actual invite. Everyone loved the invites which set the tone for a great NYC night out! http://www.judypaulendesigns.com/
