Strawberry Themed First Birthday

My inspiration for this birthday theme came one day as I watched my daughter enjoy one of her favourite snacks, strawberries! She loves them so much, so I knew it would be the right theme to represent her first year of life.

I wanted to create a dessert table that was overflowing with sweets and candy in beautiful colours of lime green, pink and red. These colours were used in patterns of stripes and polka dots to give the theme a preppy yet classic look.

• Desserts

  Red velvet cake, chocolate cupcakes with strawberry buttercream, vanilla cupcakes with buttercream, strawberry shaped cookies and candy!

• Party Favors

  Guests filled cute paper bags with gumballs, sixlets and lollipops.

• Best Moment

  When my little girl reached over and hugged her brother tight for giving her a lollipop!

• Funniest Moment

  My little one was not camera shy. She was dancing and smiling and having a blast being in the spot light.

• Most Touching Moment

  Realizing how fast this past year has gone by and my youngest is already one!

• Best Dressed

  My daughters were dressed in beautiful custom strawberry tutus and my son was dressed in a preppy green and pink striped polo.

• What People Ate

  We had a wonderful BBQ created by my Mom!

• What People Drank

  The kids loved drinking milk out of the vintage milk bottles and striped straws.
