Party Recap

This is my daughter's Fancy Nancy Party. It was on Valentine's Day. It was a stupendous, that's a fancy way of saying super, 5th birthday party. Fancy Nancy is one of Clare's favorite literary characters along with Junie B. Jones and Pinkalicious. I just LOVE this book series too. Can you tell?! lol

Party Highlights

  • Desserts

Cake shaped like a tea pot made by Aunt Estelle for Clare. It was white cake with layers of strawberry jam. Aunt Estelle makes Clare's cake every year as her birthday gift. A lot of time, effort, and love goes into those layers of cake and frosting!

  • What People Ate

Chicken salad, crab salad, egg salad, croisants, PB & J sandwiches cut into flower and heart shapes, scones, fruit, crackers, cheese, and salad.

  • What People Drank

The kids drank "tea" also known as apple juice in punch bowl tea cups that I found at good will for 40 cents each

  • Activities / Games

We read Fancy Nancy Bonjour Butterfly and practiced our good manners with the help of Fancy Nancy Tea Parties book.

  • Best Moment

Watching the girls dress up in their "high heels," gloves, hats, crowns, and jewels and sitting down for high tea!

    Decorations

Carolyn is a retired art teacher and friend. She creates artistic decorations for parties. She made the Fancy Nancy head above the cake buffet, the Fancy Nancy centerpiece on the main table, and the teapot centerpieces on the kids' tables. She did these amazin pieces as a gift to my daughter, but can make custom pieces for you. Prices vary.
