Party Recap
Finley's Baptism was on January 20th. Since he was baptized just short of his 2 month birthday I didn't have a lot of extra time to put into too many details (all moms can relate to the sleepless nights) so we kept his baptismal party simple. I started with a basic robin's egg blue and choral-ish orange color scheme integrating handmade dip dyed doilies into hanging décor and also as placemats to add a bit of vintage elegance. To stay within budget, I tried to integrate items we already had around the home for most of the other party and table decor.
Our families were served chicken pot pies, fruit salad with a granola topping, build your own salad bar, and instead of a baptism cake we offered various pies and cakes for dessert. Three family members also happened to have birthdays on/around January 20th so we also celebrated them at this event, hence the candles in the pies and cobblers. Creamsicle punch along with lemonades and assorted soft drinks were also served.
