    Meringue Mushrooms, "Dew drops" white chocolate stuffed raspberries, "fairy wands" fruit skewers, chicken salad sandwiches in "butterfly bread", cheese bites, cupcakes, "brownie violets" brownie bites

  • What People Drank

    "nectar" sweet tea for adults and purple Gatorade for kids

  • Party Favors

    chalkboard painted pots with "and 1 to grow on" written in purple chalk, filled with a bag of soil, purple recycled paper-plantable seeds in the shape of a butterfly, and tiny jar of pixie dust

  • Activities / Games

    Live butterfly release, wishing tree to "wish" the 1 year old a Happy Birthday!

  • Budget

    I lost count - planned it for over a year. But I know it was ALOT :)

  • Best Moment

    Merritt started crying when she realized her smash cake was still cold (mommy didn't let it thaw completely). She liked the taste of the frosting, but did not care for the cold!

  • Funniest Moment

    Some of the kids would catch the butterflies and put them in the empty mason jars that had daisy cut lids (instant ventable jars/homes for the butterflies) but they would shake them til they died!!!

  • Most Touching Moment

    The wishing tree was so sweet and sincere. She got some very special messages and wishes.

  • Best Dressed

    The birthday girl's older sister (who also had a birthday the day before).
