Pearl Themed Baby Shower!

I planned this party for a friend of my best friend who is having a baby girl. The mom and dad to be have nicknamed the baby a little "Pearl," so that's why we went with a Pearl theme!

I really wanted to get the pearl theme across, but I had a small budget to work with. Luckily I was able to infiltrate the entire bridal section of the craft store and buy most of their pearl themed items for a very reasonable price.

I bought pearl garland without an idea in mind and was able to use it to drape the mantel and fill the flower vases. I purchased pearl ribbon which I used to adorn the party favors and other party items.

I bought a $3 journal and all the party guests got to give the mom to be their "Pearls of Wisdom!"

I created a "string of pearls" banner for the mantel and decorated the mantel with flowers, pearls and baby pictures of the mom and dad! It's fun for the guests to see what the mom and dad looked like as babies.

It was a brunch shower so in order to stay within budget our main food item was yogurt parfaits. They are easy, economical and fun for the guests to create!

It ended up being a REALLY pretty and elegant theme and a theme I would do again!
