Party Recap

I just love a good fiesta! This year I celebrated my birthday with my family, and a few fun girlfriends, on the beach of San Clemente, Ca.
My family & I were staying the week at our timeshare, and I couldn't think of a more perfect excuse to throw a small party in the sand!

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

I served taquitos with guacamole, in colorful plastic baskets. Tortilla chips, with salsa displayed in a margarita glass, pan dulce {Mexican sweet bread}, and the most festive + colorful cake pops from my sweet friend Roni, at Roni's Sugar Creations.

  • What People Drank

Mexican sodas were served along with Mango Margaritas! I displayed the drink dispenser and soda bottles on my tiered serving cart. I created a little sign that read: Senoritas love margaritas.

  • Best Dressed

The sweet & talented Shawna from Shawna Brockmeier Styled Events made a one-of-a-kind Fiesta birthday crown, especially for me! It's truly beautiful, and so fun to wear. Every birthday girl should be so lucky!

  • Party Favors

Each party guest was greeted by a sign that read: It's Fiesta time, grab some zapatos. It only made sense to hand out colorful flip flops for the beach goers. My senoritas loved them! I also made each of my friends a flower on a clip, to wear in their hair.

  • Party Decor

My friend Pat from Zperfect Party supplied umbrellas, and festive sombreros. They were just the right amount of "fiesta meets beach" decor! I added bright flowers to an empty chili can, and authentic, woven Mexican statues, to my dessert table. They gave it just the right amount of fiesta fun!
