Party Recap
The party was originally planned to take place on an old Airforce Cargo Plane but due to bad weather the night before, we had to take the party indoors. The volunteer staff at the museum was AWESOME and helped us make this party a huge success.
The details:
Airplane Ticket Invitation
Bought them on Etsy here:
http://www.etsy.com/listing/60177422/clearance-50-off-printable-airplane
Decor
Red and Blue
Wooden Jetplane and Bi-Plane placecards purchased at the Target Dollar Spot...I wrote each child's name with a paint pen
Each table had a airplane coloring sheet as a place mat and a galvanized pail filled with crayons, and party horns
Food
I wanted to make it realistic "airplane" food...so I purchased white paper food containers from Smart and Final, wrapped Costco sandwiches with red and white checkered paper wraps, macaroni and cheese, a juice box and wooden spoons in every box.
Dessert
I created a dessert table with marshmallow pops, "icecream" cake cones, and good old fashioned cupcakes!
Favors
I had the pleasure of working with Wants and Wishes to design my "suitcases" (which I found on clearance at the 99 cent store after Christmas), my cupcake toppers (I actually made these into stickers after being introduced to Xyron...I went a little sticker crazy), and the bag toppers. I would recommend her to any party planner!

Activities / Games
Lost my Luggage I bought these adorable mini suitcases from Hey Yo Yo on Etsy and numbered each one, I hid them in the room while the kids waited outside...they were direct to find one suitcase, once they found all the suitcases, they won a prize that corresponded to the number they found in the suitcase. Take Flight I had each child work on a foam airplane at the beginning of the party, once they were done, we had a contest to see who could "fly" the longest!

Best Moment
I think the best moment for me was when I heard Chase singing Happy Birthday to himself...it was just so darn cute!

I love the little suitcases. Can you tell me where you found them?

Hi Tiffany, I bought the suitcases at the 99 cent store, it actually had a Christmas print on it, I bought it after Christmas for .50 each. I covered the Christmas print by purchasing a design from Wants and Wishes (she customized the design for me), I printed the design on sticker paper to cover the original print. Thanks! Christy
