Party Recap

Jacquelyn, aka, Jax loves her daddy's motorcycle so it only seemed fitting to throw her a biker chic party for her second birthday celebration. I glammed up the theme with a color palette of pink, gray, black and white and carried it out in every detail. The guest of honor's daddy created a custom "Born 2 Be Wild" logo that was used throughout the party, from the invites to the t-shirt favors to the cookies.

The guests were initially wowed with a line of motorcycles outside and a few "billboards" welcoming them inside. I also created a road using a roll of plastic tablecloths and felt strips and it served as a main focal point upon entrance and led partygoers to the festivities.

In an effort to stick with a "biker rally" feel I had my graphic designer husband create signs for various "stores" and "stops" along the party route. A simple lunch of sandwiches, chips and fruit was served in the "Cruiser Cafe." Party favors were "purchased" using fun biker bucks at "Jax's Full Throttle Boutique." Dessert was served at "Jacquelyn's Sweet Shop." Guests got inked with temporary tattoos at a "tattoo parlor" and their photos taken to commemorate the fun at "Wild Child Studios."

The favors were a huge hit. I had t-shirts printed up with the party logo, and found a bargain on kid sized sunglasses bearing flames that matched the motif perfectly. Bandanas and biker rubber duckies completed the favor offerings. Guests said they felt like they were treated to a shopping spree which was exactly what I was going for!
