Party Recap
Our little Ballerina, Olivia Marie, turned 3 years old on September 1, 2011. We had a party for her on August 28. Olivia is very excited to start ballet this season, so we thought that a ballerina themed party would be just the thing.
Party Highlights
-
Best Dressed
The Birthday Girl Olivia! Her tutu and matching headband was purchased at TJ Max, and I made the iron-on ballerina on my Silhouette!
-
Desserts
I had our local Hy-Vee grocery store make the cake. It was delish! They did a great job. They also made the cake pops, which were heavenly.
-
Budget
About $400.00
-
Party Favors
I made pink slipper favor boxes on my Silhouette machine. I filled them with tulle wrapped white Sixlettes.
-
What People Ate
I made pasta and we also had chicken and lots of side dishes.
-
What People Drank
We had pink lemonade, sweet tea, and soft drinks.
-
Most Touching Moment
When my little girl threw her arms around me and whispered in my ear, I love you momma.
-
Funniest Moment
When the little girls were taking turns pulling the strings on the pinata. It was so anti-climatic. The loaded string was the last one pulled!

Hi Bethany, I purchased the Silhouette cutting machine at their website www.silhouetteamerica.com. Some larger scrapbooking stores and craft stores are also starting to carry them. Instead of paying loads of money for a cartridge for a Cricut, you simply download a design for 99 cents from the internet anytime and it is yours to keep.
