Party Recap

My daughter loves Sesame Street and many of the characters. As I noticed her affection growing for Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, Grover and Big Bird, I just knew a Sesame Street party was the perfect way to celebrate her 3rd birthday. I didn't want to use primary colors, so I was excited to find party paperie with a nice girly flair in fun bright colors. My husband and I did a lot of crafting over the course of a couple of months. I wanted to try my hand at making more of the party elements than in years past, but I still did a lot of outsourcing. This was such a fun party to design. The entertainment was "Elmo," of course. He did an excellent job, and the kids had a blast!

Elena, I bought these at Hobby Lobby when they were 50% off. Sometimes you have to visit a couple of stores to find different sizes and quantities.

I bought two spools of tulle from Hobby Lobby, a 14 inch foam wreath and one spool of ribbon. I used a tulle wreath tutorial I found via Google....there are many of them out there. I made the entire wreath in under an hour; the longest part is cutting the strips of tulle, but it goes fast after you cut the first 2 or 3. (I would use one to measure the next one and just grip them in my hand as I was cutting...instead of cutting one, putting it down, cutting another, putting it down, etc) I purchased a printable "Zoe Street" file from Etsy, printed it on letter size cardstock, trimmed it, and then tied it to the wreath from the upper corners using super thin yellow ribbon. Let me know if you have other questions.

Sandra--I just noticed your questions. Sorry if my response is too late. The bakery used fondant for the balls.
