Party Recap

I am lucky enough to be able to take advantage of use of the venue that I work at, the Dickens Opera House in Longmont, CO. So when I suggested to my almost 4 year old rock star that she have an on-stage dance party, she only had one request: can it be a Hello Kitty Rock rock star party?
The majority of our guests were ages 1 to 8, so we didn't try to do any planned activities,
just let all of the kids dance around to music. We did supply a variety of instruments to
help them feel like rock stars on stage including plastic microphones, tambourines and
drums. To re-energize, guests could grab a snack from the buffet, a water bottle, (a drink
at the bar for mommy and daddy,) and fill up their "rock on" candy basket!
After we sang "Happy Birthday," there was a choice of 2 types of cupcakes (including
gluten-free for a few of our friends,) and chocolate dipped strawberries. Our guests
left with a thank you mini-pinata filled with Hello Kitty tattoos, bracelet, lip gloss
and bubbles. I'm pretty sure fun was had by all!
