Party Recap

Sooti & Sweet designed and styled this sweet table for little Julius' 5th Birthday.

The theme was 'vintage aeroplane', styled with hessian, rustic colours and travel elements such as an antique globe and mini suitcases.  Three giant, red balloons framed the table which gave the table a floaty, up and away feel.

A favourite detail on the table was the personalised luggage tag food labels and circle decals from Spaceship & Laser Beams - just perfect.

Julius' talented mum, Sarah, from Vanilla Bean -Cake Design created his two tiered dark chocolate mud cake, topped with a very cute red bi-plane she modelled from icing.

Other sweet treats included plane and cloud vanilla butter cookies, strawberry jelly pots, Tim Tam cookie pops, candy popcorn cups and vanilla cupcakes. Glass lolly jars were filled with orange m&m's, apple jelly beans and raspberry and lemon bon bons. Little guests also sipped on apple and blackcurrant juice in recycled mini milk bottles.

The children were kept entertained with a visit from 'Animal Capers' where they got to hold and pat a variety of animals including a silky chicken, lizard and snake.

The children seemed to have a fabulous time - happy birthday Julius!

Hi Natalie, Thank you so much for your lovely comments. The circle decals are from Spaceships and Laser Beams (www.etsy.com/shop/SpaceshipsLaserBeams). I cut them out using a 1" circle punch and stuck them onto the striped cups which are actually baking cups. I got the baking cups from Paper Eskimo (http://www.papereskimo.com.au/baking-cups/vmchk). I hope this is helpful. Thanks again, Nicole
