Party Recap

I planned a camping party for my daughter's 5th grade class. We had sack races outside and then came in the classroom to lace wallets, make-your-own trail mix, s'more pops and watch the movie, Yogi Bear, while enjoying movie theater popcorn. The kids took home favors of s'more kits to make at home. I decorated with branches I cut off my own pepper tree and hung a bandanna banner, battery operated votives in mason jars hung from twine and a Happy Campers banner. The "dessert" table included an assortment of nuts and dried fruits for the kids to make trail mix. I made s'more pops by dipping marshmallows in chocolate and then rolling in crushed graham crackers.

Wow! Great job! Where did you find the frog jump sacks, the green drink container, and the "keep calm" sign? are those fake bugs that light up in that jar?!

The frog sacks are from Fun Express. The firefly jar is from Dept 56 and is about 6 years old but I have seen them in catalogs and possibly Amazon. I can't remember where I got the drink container, it is also an oldie. The camp sign was from Etsy a few years ago as well. I like to use what I have as much as possible :)

I forgot to mention about the camp sign...I mounted the paper onto a unfinished wood chalkboard that I distressed with stain and banging it with a hammer.
