Jenna's 7th Birthday Tour
ByParty Recap
My little rock star turned 7 and we threw a rockin' Birthday Tour in her honor.
Party Highlights
-
What People Ate
The rock star's tour rider (menu) was Hot Dogs, Bunny Bait Popcorn, Cookies, Donut's, Pop Rocks and Water. I also made a pot of chili for the adults and to make chili dogs.
-
What People Drank
We served miniature bottled water
-
Best Moment
The best moment was watching the kids sing and dance together under the main stage. We got a $20 microphone and plugged it into our amp and Jenna's brother played DJ and took request.
-
Best Dressed
Jenna's 2 Aunts came dressed in their rockstar attire which Jenna wasn't expecting! All of the kids looked so cute in costum when they came in!
-
Desserts
Our rock star doesn't much care for cake so she also requests donuts. We made a donut tower and drizzled hot pink and aqua icing on it to match the splatter paint backdrop.
-
Party Favors
Every Rock Star Tour has a Merch table. We gave each concert goer a custom Tour t-shirt hand drawn and designed by my sister (Mimloft Creative Studios) and we made custom printed cd's with Jenna's favorite songs. We also handed out some Swag to each concert goer using adorable minature gable boxes from Pamela Smerker Designs filled with guitar lip gloss, tattoos and candy

Activities / Games
When the rockers arrived they each went to the tattoo parlor and hair studio to get temporary tattoos and some colored hair extensions. They then made their way to the decorate your own guitar stand. This was a great idea that I found on Spaceships and Laserbeams blog. They then made their way to the photo back drop for some pics and outside to the mainstage to sing some karaoke.

Budget
This party had a great deal of DIY elements which kept it low cost. I was able to get very creative and use basic things like Paper for the backdrop that was splatter painted by my kids and glitter wrapping paper for the table runner and front walkway. The menu was simple and I was able to keep the food cost to around $75 for 15 kids plus some adults. You could easily pull this party off for under $200 for everything!
