Spooky Halloween Party
ByParty Recap
For this year’s Halloween party, I once again partnered with buddy, Monika from Hello Brielle. We loved the idea of black and white and something forresty and worked out party around that.
Almost all decor came from the Dollar Tree, our own personal items at home, were borrowed from friends, or were DIY projects made by us (or our friends).
Since there were so many people coming, we did a soup pot-luck, then provided kid's food and a dessert table. We also had a popcorn bar. For drinks, we served water, spiced apple cider and pumpkin spice latte in a crock pot.
Kid's food included mummy hot dogs, ghost string cheese, apple-marshmallow mouths, and ghost poop (aka Pirate's Booty).
The dessert table featured:
Spider Truffles (find tutorial here)
Meringue Ghosts
Creepy Cupcakes
White Pumpkin Truffles (I used Erin’s Food Files’ recipe, then stuck a pretzel stick in the top for a stem)
Caramel Apples
Candies: Black Licorice, Candy Sticks, Lindor Chocolates, Yogurt Pretzels
We had a number of activities including a costume contest (complete with runway), ghost bowling, pumpkin painting, and donuts on a string.

Hello, I was wondering if you free handed the these trees, or did you use a template?

They were free handed.

How did you make the tree?

Lisa, we bought rolls of kraft paper from a school supplies store, drew trees, cut them out and used sticky tac to adhere them to the windows.
