Party Recap

Who doesn’t love polka dots? They are bright and playful and most of all, they’re fun! We wanted to celebrate Aurora’s second birthday in a bright and colorful way. This darling Polka Dot Second Birthday Party features budget – friendly details like homemade treats, lovely cupcake toppers, bright balloons, candy and so much more!

After our brainstorm, we contacted our amazingly talented friend Brittany of Edible Details to collaborate on these delicious and visually appealing cupcake toppers. Once we decided on colors, everything fell into place. The printables, banner and hats were created with vibrant colors and supplies {such as ribbon}, we already had these items on hand.

We used our own cake stands and filled small containers with gumballs {found at Michaels and on sale for $1.99}. The guests received handmade gift bags that were filled with candy, coloring books and crayons. We used a party hat template, that we've used for previous partys and simply glued a ‘pom pom’ on top to give the hat an extra ‘pop.’

To make the marshmallow pops, we took marshmallows and made edible glue candy to put the dots on. We then put a lollipop stick in and they were all set for display.

We hope you enjoy the party as much as we did!
