Party Recap

Our inspiration was a woodland fairy themed party. The party was held at a local park adjacent to a lake.

We provided the guest with an assorment of fun, pretty and suberbly yummey finger foods. Of course, no feast is right without a buffet of fabulous desserts so we set a table full of chocolate dipped marshmallows, cupcakes, brownies, raspberries with chocolate chips in the center, lollypops, Oreo pops and amazing sugar cookies made by my brilliant sister-in-law Sarah Vattuone.

Our refreshments included jugs of pixie punch (pineapple limeade and watermelon infused water), jester juice (beer), and princess puckers (grapefruit margarittas).Paper straws and mason jars were used as goblets, Starbucks Frapuccino jugs were upcycled for our princesses, and reusable chalkboard labels from the Martha Stewart line sold a Staples made for a perfect beverage description.

Once our tummies were full, it was time to have some fun! The music was playing and the bubbles were blowing. Adults were engaging in cornhole and ladder golf. The kids were crawling in Elle’s Castle (some may call it a play tent, but they would be obviously lacking in imagination), crafting: wands, necklaces, and masks, getting their faces painted and playing dress-up in Fairyland.

In all it was a very enchanting day, but of course anytime we can make our pinteresst boards come to life we have an amazing time!
