Cheese & Chocolate, Bubbles & Beer

These photos are from a recent Christmas celebration that I styled at my home. I had chosen to incorporate 2 of my favourite foods for a 'Chocolate & Cheese' theme on my dessert table...oh, did I mention I live on the Gold Coast of Australia...temperatures of 40C+ over the last week...amid visions of platters of melting sludge I (hope I) managed to pull it together...thank goodness for air-conditioning!! Anyway - my colours were aqua, silver and gold with a good dose of glitter thrown in as well. We served cute little cupcakes from https://www.facebook.com/CupCakeParlour1?fref=ts and the lovely ladies there were even good enough to stick with my theme and make the cutest little fondant ‘brie wheels’ for cake toppers, there was also chocolate mousse with aqua glittered wooden spoons, cheesecake pops, chocolate sugar cookies (by https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sweet-Arts-by-Bek/180328788735099?fref=ts ) and an assortment of chocolates in our colour theme. We had a ‘Beer & Bubbles’ bar set up as well and a vodka station with a few different juice mixers and all glassware was glittered and mod-podged to within an inch of its life. The last little touch was a photo-booth set up. My fabulous graphic designer (Jen from https://www.facebook.com/ConceptDesigns?fref=ts ) created the cutest backdrop based on the film poster to promote ‘The Usual Suspects’ and all of our friends had the time of their lives posing for pics in front of the mug shot screen with crazy glasses, feather boas, blackboard speech bubbles and fake moustaches. One of my lovely friends (Lexi from https://www.facebook.com/MrandMrsSmithPhotography?fref=ts who is also the professional photographer who records all of my work) was on hand to take some pics for me

  The dessert buffet was themed in chocolate & cheese so we served cupcakes (with mini chocolate oreos and mini fondant brie wheels), cheesecake pops, chocolate slice & fudge, Chocolate mousse and cheese plates

  The bar was themed Beers and Bubbles plus we also had a vodka bar
