Party Recap

I designed and photographed a fiesta-themed birthday party for my husband. To see more of my work, please visit my blog, http://dkbuckmaster.blogspot.com, and my website, www.kalliebrynn.com!

For the invitation, I printed out the lettering and then drew the "papel picado" design around the words. I went over everything with a carbon pen, burned a screen with my Gocco machine, and made prints.

I used air plants, bougainvillea blooms, beautiful cacti, mangos, and limes as centerpieces.

The "25" papel picado (Mexican banner) took about two months to complete by (my hurting) hand.

We had our favorite local Mexican food truck cater.

Due to terrible Florida summer weather, we moved everything inside and managed to pull off a makeshift photo booth. It was made with a swing cover above and a Mexican blanket tacked to the back (instead of our fence outside).

I bought the Luchador masks specifically for my husband and LOVED the gigantic sombreros.

I put up a hand painted Feliz Cumpleanos burlap banner above the funfetti cupcakes and Mexican tiles below. The oreo ice cream cake was my husband's request.
