Party Recap
This was our second annual Wine and Cheese Tasting party! Hubby and I are big fans of trying new combinations and it has quickly become on of my favorite themes of the year. We chose 5 aged cheeses that were locally produced and set out a wonderful tasting experice for our friends.
Party Highlights
-
What People Ate
We had of course cheese and various accompiments, but we set up a new feature this year and let people experiment with a do it yourself grilled cheese bar!
-
What People Drank
No wine tasting is complete with out wine. We had our friends contribute a wine that would pair well with one of the cheeses we selected.
-
Desserts
For dessert we had a very unique Maple Cheese, A Cheddar Fudge, and goat cheeses wrapped in various fruit toppings!
-
Party Favors
For party gifts we hosted a wine swap with our friends. Every couple brought their favorite bottle of wine to swap with someone else! We provided the wine bags and tissue paper so that everyone could wrap up a beautiful present to take home!
-
Budget
Our original budget was around $200-$250. But when we got to our local cheese shop we found wonderful new options and our budget took a BIG hit! It was well worth it! All together with our cheese purchases and the items we needed for the grilled cheese station. (Including a new panini press!) We spent about $315 dollars.
