On 8-23-11 our grandJoy, River, turned 1! The Sloan family hosted our party and helped our daughter give her son a great first birthday party! There was tailgating food for the 'football theme" and colorful circles and dots all around!
On the menu were meatball and asiago cheese sliders, pulled pork sliders, ham and cheese pinwheels, pigs in a blanket, baked beans, chips and dip, veggie tray, & trail mix. Fresh orange/mint tea and lemonade were served as beverages.
For dessert, we served cupcakes, s'mores on a stick, fresh fruit, and of course; birthday cake and ice cream!
Amongst the decorations were cylinders of m&m's and lollipops for the guests, bowls of football themed breath mints and cotton candy too!
The older children played Pin the Tail on the Donkey and Inflatable Bowling outside. Tubs of ice cold water bottles were available to help beat the heat.
The decorations were all created by our friends Lori Sloan and her daughter, Amy Sloan Anderson.
River had a wonderful time turning one, and his guests certainly enjoyed his party!
The birthday boy, of course!
