Party Recap...
We had a luau to celebrate our daughter's 9th birthday. There were a ton of kids and we had a catered hawaiian luau dinner, hawaiian arts and crafts, snow cones, and all kinds of tropical treats including a three tiered grass skirt cake! Everyone got lei's to wear and the ladies and girls got hibiscus flower clips to wear in their hair.
Party Highlights
Best Moment
I think the best moment was at the end when we did snowcones. It was raining but warm and once word spread around the house/yard that we had snowcones, we had a line up of about 30 kids in our kitchen patiently waiting! It was funny and very cute!
What People Ate
Loli loli chicken, bbq beef, luau meatballs, kalua pork, rainbow fruit kabobs, rice, macaroni salad, hawaiian sweet rolls
What People Drank
Tropical luau punch, strawberry lemonade, lemon lime water and various sodas
Dessert
Three tiered grass skirt cake, almond joy brownie bites, pina colada cupcakes, chocolate hibiscus suckers, almond joy candy bars, macadamia nut hershey kisses, tropical lifesavers, coconut and pineapple saltwater taffy, pina colada marshmallows, and hibiscus sugar cookies
Activities / Games
The limbo, of course! Snowcones came later despite the rain!
Party Favors
The party favors were sand buckets filled with coconut m&m's, hibiscus bracelets and notepads, flip flop suckers, and various tropical candies
