Party Recap
Wingardium Leviosa! When it came time to plan my daughter’s 11th birthday party, only one theme would do: HARRY POTTER! After all, this is the age when young witches and wizards get their Hogwarts letters!
It wouldn’t be an authentic Harry Potter birthday party without some Golden Snitches! I made mine by gluing paper wings to Ferrero Rocher chocolates. Fast, easy, and they looked great. And a plastic cauldron from Halloween served as the perfect punchbowl for a bit of “Liquid Luck.”
I also topped the table with some Harry Potter party plates, cups, and napkins that I found at Michaels. The partyware had all the different Hogwarts houses on them, which I knew the kids would love. And there was even a matching plastic Harry Potter table cover to add extra decoration to the party scene. I also placed a pair of plastic Harry Potter glasses at each guest’s seat to put on when they sat down for our wizarding lunch.
I used Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans (jelly beans) to decorate the cupcakes, and had lots of other Harry Potter inspired party snacks at the ready.
And before everyone flew off, I gave out Harry Potter goodie bags filled with all kinds of Harry Potter themed party favors and treats.
