Party Recap
We celebrated our daughter turning four with a "Rainbow/Pool Potluck Party!" Although there was rain outside, everything was bright inside! What's a Rainbow Party without a real rainbow though, right?! ;)
Party Highlights
-
Best Moment
A party highlight was when the sun started to peek out, and a real rainbow almost emerged ;) And of course, when we presented Abby with her big cupcake rainbow!
-
Most Touching Moment
The most touching moment was watching the photo/video slideshow I created. I asked everyone to send me a birthday message video instead of bringing a birthday gift. My daughter will now always be able to remember all of her party guests, and can enjoy a personalized message from each of them!
-
Best Dressed
My neighbors who all dressed up in the 6 colors of the rainbow :)
-
Desserts
Rainbow Cupcakes & Rainbow Ice Cream
-
Party Favors
Rain"BOWS" for girls, Rain"BOW"-Ties for boys, mini bag of skittles cinched in the middle to make a "bow," Rainbow notepads, Rainbow colored Kool-Aid packets
-
Activities / Games
Pin the Cloud on the Rainbow! I used coffee filters for the "clouds."
-
What People Ate
Rainbow Food Dishes... Rainbow Bread PB&J, Rainbow Pasta Salads, Rainbow dips and chips, Rainbow Candy Buffet
-
What People Drank
Rainbow Beverages... Colors of the Rainbow: Red Hawaiian Punch, Orange Soda, Yellow Lemonade, Green Mt. Dew, Blue Hawaiian Punch, Grape Soda.
-
Rainbow Stairwell
Because I was tying in both the "Rainbow Party" theme and the "Pool Party" theme... I bought pool noodles in rainbow colors, and lined my stairwell ceiling with them. When guests walked down into the party basement, they got to walk underneath the "Birthday Rainbow!"
