Party Recap
My daughter has been obsessed with Ninja Turtles for a little over a year now. It started when she saw the Ninja Turtles II movie then my husband found old episodes of the cartoon show which added fuel to the fire. I am always up for a challenge but when she told me she wanted a "ninja turtle" party i was dumbfounded. You would think the internet has everything but It was nearly impossible to find 80's ninja turtle party inspirations. I pretty much made everything from scratch and what i couldn't do my friend Dawn stepped in and helped me out.

what are the brown cookies? i can't read the sign Sewer ???

They were "sewer caps." Oreo covered brownies, a huge hit and really easy to make. I mixed the ingredients of a brownie pack in a bowl and put oreo cookies inside the bowl (about three at a time) i then fished them out and placed them inside a cupcake baking tray and then baked them. I can't remember how long i baked them for but I am sure it was less than the time stated on the box.

Such a cute party. My little girl also wants a Ninja Turtles birthday party. She also has the same birthday as your daughter. Thanks for the great ideas.

I printed out an enlarged image of the ninja turtles face on cardstock, i cut out all the details and then i traced it onto felt. I doubled on the felt so when i cut out 1 of the turtles heads it made 2 heads so that when i hot glued the bottom of the head together the heads were even. The eyes and mouth were glued with all purpose tacky glue.

I drew them onto thin plywood and then cut and sanded the edges. Lastly i painted them by hand with acrylic paint.

Just AWESOME!! Can I ask what you used for the white stuff on top?
Paola B wrote:
I just used white melting chocolate. First i was trying to pipe the chocolate very carefully but then i just decided that a messy look worked great and 10 times faster!

Recipe please??? I'm having a hard time finding a green drink that isn't completely disgusting. This looks pretty yummy with out the major artificial sugary-ness.

To be completely honest with you I do not remember! I think i bought regular lemonade and used a few drops of bright green food coloring. That's why I called it "lemo" ooze.
