Party Recap
For Alexis' 6th birthday we went all out and transformed our gardens into a real wonderland! Guests were invited to come in costume. The children ate from the sandwich bar, drank hot cocoa from tea cups, played croquet with flamingos and painted the roses red! each guest left the party with a tea pot full of flowers as a parting gift.

Activities / Games
I used poster board, red sharpies, 14 gauge wire, felt, and vase gems (for weight in the hands and feet), and a hot glue gun to create the card suitors for a game of flamingo croquet. The kids used plastic yard flamingos and nerf balls, while the birthday girl and a special stuffed hedgehog to use for her ball. I also created a "painting the roses red" game where the kids were to pull a white rose off a paper bush and replace it with a red rose. Each white rose collected had points on the back. Once all of the roses were red the kids added up the scores from the white roses and an winner won a prize.

DETAILS
The long table was crowed with thrift store and garage sale finds of mismatched tea pots and tea cups. Dry ice and a giant butterfly transformed the pond into a wonderland of it's own! White 5 gallon buckets turned upside down and topped with homemade cushions created toadstools and added a little extra flair (and seating!)
