Selected as Party of the Day on March 24th!
Ali's Woodland First Birthday Party
ByParty Recap
With all honesty, I chose a Woodland theme because I started planning Ali's party around Christmas. I looked around at my pinecone and evergreen wreaths, garlands, and decor and knew I could gather some of these things to make a beautiful party. I'm a graphic designer, so I made the invitations myself and then switched my focus to the decorations. For the food table, I used evergreens (leftover from Christmas), my husband helped cut stump slices to set dishes on, and my girls helped me gather pinecones. I made all the homemade food items the day before the party. For the masks, I printed animal heads onto card stock and glued popsicle sticks to the back. For the give-aways, I baked cookies a placed them in recycled planter boxes with a packet of It-ali-an (get it, Ali?) Oregano seeds for planting at home. Ali was surrounded by the loving presence of so many family members and friends. She was showered with gifts and seems to really enjoy her smash cake!
