Party Recap

Allister has been nicknamed "our little mermaid" since she was born, as she entered this world underwater via waterbirth. Her halloween costume was a mermaid, and it was only fitting that her party was also a mer-party! It morphed into more of an ocean theme, for the mermaid.


Party Highlights

  • Best Dressed

    the birthday girl in her fancy dress and beautiful starfish headband by tututwirls and little pearl boutique

  • Desserts

    fish bowl jello, rice krispy and swedish fish sushi, gummy sharks, swiss cake roll sushi, oyster and pearl lemon cookies, chocolate seashells, swedish fish and of course, cake! we had a carrot smash cake and a 2 layered cherry almond amaretto and vanilla rum cake by Frills Bakery in Denver Colorado.

  • Activities / Games

    we buried seashells in the sandbox for the kids to dig up!

  • Budget

    didn't keep track. made most of everything ourselves!

  • Party Favors

    little white buckets of sand dollars, pirate coins, pearl necklaces and bracelets, and teal bubbles.

  • Best Moment

    spending the afternoon with our friends and family, eating, playing horseshoes.

  • What People Ate

    So many delicious ocean treats! Sushi, handmade by my sister in law, octopus veggie dip & sea cucumbers, carrots and broccoli, goldfish crackers, fish bowl jello, frozen bubbles (grapes on a skewer), peanut butter and jellyfish sushi, seashell mac n cheese, octopus hotdogs.

  • What People Drank

    triton's tonic (7-up, blue hawaiian punch, and coconut and pineapple icecream), sip of the sea (water bottles) and kirin beer, with corona and soda also available.

  • Funniest Moment

    baby didn't like her cake and was upset that we tried to make her taste it!
