Party Recap

What represents the Fall season more than APPLES!? There is something about warm apple pie that reminds you of the quickly approaching holiday season, the changing of the leaves (everywhere except where we live in California) and the crispness in the air.

This Apple Orchard party was planned in just over two weeks! Luckily, we already owned a lot of the items that you see and just re-purposed them for the party. Here are a few of my favorite things:

1. The Gingham! Red and white gingham was the main design print throughout the party. It was used on the invitations, used on the tables and then cut up for all of the rustic banners.
2.The Straw Bales! This was definitely something that we just HAD to have to pull off the rustic country picnic style day. We were able to find them locally and filled the yard with them. The guests were provided with blankets for the hay. If there is anything the birthday girl loves it is eating outside picnic style!
3. The Caramel Apple Bar! The caramel apple bar had sliced apples, skewers, chocolate & caramel sauce along with all sorts of fun toppings. We had had white chocolate chips, mini M&Ms, graham crackers, sprinkles and more! The kids thought this was fun and the nice part about doing one apple slice at a time was the ability to try different combinations of toppings.
4. The Cake & Apple Desserts! I have to thank my sister for ALL of these delicious apple desserts. She made the mini apple pies, the apple hand pies and the caramel apples with homemade caramel. The apple hand pies were definitely my favorite! A little pie you can grab to go was a fun treat, mmm! The cake was made by Rebecca of Singers Sister Sweets and was absolutely adorable! The cake was spice flavor with a fresh apple filling. Rebecca is always so great with helping to bring our design vision to life and her cakes taste just as good as they look. The apple cake pops were from Just a Bite Creations and looked adorable on display!
5. The Apples! We used more apples than I can even count in our decorations. We used fake mini apples in the flower arrangements and all of the tables. We used full size apples all over the yard and in apple baskets.
