Party Recap

My daughter is almost a teen, and has very strong opinions on what kind of party she wanted to have. She is really into art, so she was thrilled with the idea of an art themed slumber party.

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

Since it was a warm summer day, we ate grilled hot dogs and hamburgers, pizza pasta salad, chips and salsa and cake for dinner. The girls had their sweet treats during the slumber party.

  • What People Drank

We did not have anything special to drink. The girls enjoyed water, Capri Sun and pop.

  • Funniest Moment

The girls had so much fun mugging for the camera during their photo shoot. They came up with some really funny shots.

  • Desserts

A few hours after enjoying ice cream and birthday cake, the girls snacked on homemade rock candy, Fruity Pebble paint brush pops, gummy bears, skittles and bubble gum all in rainbow colors.

  • Party Favors

The went home with a tote bag filled with art supplies. Each girl got a paint palette, a pk of paint brushes, a box of colored pencils, a wooden frame to embellish, and a mustache mug. They also took home the projects they made, flip flops decorated with fabric and a canvas they painted.

  • Activities / Games

Being tween girls they did a lot of talking and acting silly. Since my daughter and her guests were older, my daughter requested we not play party games. Instead they did art themed activities, such as painting, drawing and crafting.

  • Budget

Under $200 for craft supplies, decorations and food
