Party Recap
We celebrated our son's first birthday with a vintage camp themed party. Think cozy Pendleton blankets, plaid picnic baskets, and vintage Boy Scout gear. We wanted to have an area where the kids could hangout so we set up a teepee lounge. This also made the perfect backdrop for opening presents and the cake smash. The main focus of the party was the desert table, which included three cakes and a s'mores bar. Using a recycled pallet we created a backdrop to tie in the theme of the party. I found moss letters to spell out ONE and decorated around it with vintage camping gear, pennants (including one from my husband's home state of New Hampshire), a bear head and some antique Boy Scout gear that belonged to my dad. I made a "Camp Asher" banner using twigs and felt.
