Party Recap

Have you ever wanted to throw a baby shower for a very special gal but felt limited by your budget? Me too! With a solid plan and determination I was able to do just that for my sister in law...on a dollar store budget! Our baby shower on a dollar store budget was absolutely gorgeous and our guests had no idea that we provided a lovely baby shower experience from dollar store products!

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

We served chicken salad on croissants with pasta salad served in vintage glass cups, fruit salad served in waffle cones and veggies with spinach dip in a baguette.

  • What People Drank

Our guests enjoyed tea, coffee, lemon and cucumber infused water and strawberry punch.

  • Desserts

Dessert was an adorable vanilla 3 layer cake with fresh strawberries in each layer with buttercream frosting. We also served fresh fruit and brownies in the shape of hearts.

  • Party Favors

Our party favor was a DIY baby shoe favor with nail polish! We used our cricut for the template and dazzled it up with tulle, pearls and lace!

  • Activities / Games

One of my favorite baby shower games of all time is called, "Baby Bottle Bottoms Up!" Each guest gets a baby bottle full of apple juice and has to suck the bottle down as fast as possible. The winner is the guest who empties their bottle first! We also played another favorite of mine...baby shower scattergories. We also gave our guest of honor some thoughtful advice on a cute onesie die-cut, which turned into a wonderful activity where each guest read their piece of advice to mom-to-be. It was the sweetest way to end our baby shower!
