Party Recap

This past weekend we had my little Megs ballerina birthday bash! It was so fun creating this special event for someone so special to me. For months I have been making and collecting all of the special details that made this party what it was and I have the pinterest board to prove it! Megan has always had a soft spot for ballet, so it was a no brainer deciding on a theme for her party! Here are just a few of the amazing photos from her party, captured by the talented Shillawna of Shillawna Ruffner Photography!
I have shared how to create some of these amazing decorations on my blog at: http://cakesandmudpies.blogspot.com/

Party Highlights

  • Desserts

Fluffy almond cupcakes with vanilla buttercream.

  • Activities / Games

The girls were served a nice lunch and then danced and twirled with the birthday girl! All of the girls got to assemble their own ballerina plush doll, which they got to take home with them.

  • Budget

    Less than $500.

  • Party Favors

All her guests received a gift bag with tutus and necklaces and bracelets. We also had a candy buffet where the girls could fill a treat bag, with fun things like pink marshmallows, cotton candy and any other pink treat you can think of.

  • What People Ate

For food we served chinese chicken salad, egg salad sandwiches, fresh fruit, choclate dipped strawberries and fresh veggies.

  • What People Drank

We served pink fizzie strawberry lemonade and strawberry crush sodas.

The plate and cup sets are vintage Colonial Harvest milk glass snack sets purchased on ebay.
