Party Recap

It seems like just yesterday I was planning a vintage baseball themed baby shower for my nephew Beau. Now that beautiful baby boy is celebrating his first birthday.

My sister-in-law knew she wanted a Winter One-derland theme and my brother helped narrow it down to snowmen. She hopped on Etsy to find the cute invites and I got to work on decorating ideas.

We started with a color scheme of red, aqua and white and decided on a chevron and polka dot fabric for accents. I have used my vintage window (a staple in my home decor) to set the backdrop for several parties.

Large cardboard letters were painted and the fronts covered in fabric to spell Beau. I used tissue fans I found in the Target $1 section (score) to add color and texture to the window. The window was flanked by snowmen my sister-in-law constructed with styrofoam balls.

For the table centerpieces, I constructed 4 snowmen out of styrofoam discs and placed them in red and white striped tin buckets accented with snowflakes and the initial "b".

A small vintage table was painted aqua to match the party color scheme and was perfect size for the hot chocolate station. A coordinating fabric banner was hung across the front.

I love my cake lady!! She has been creating masterpieces for me for the last 5 years and she is just a gem. Her cakes are not only beautiful but taste amazing. She created an adorable two tier birthday cake and a smash cake to match the party invites.

My Aunt designed and made the matching snowman and chevron cookies. They were beautiful and delicious.

Party guests were sent home with a chalkboard ornament hand dipped by my sister-in-law. I hear this task is not for the faint of heart:)

I have a love for planning fun and beautiful parties and it was an honor to help plan this first birthday celebration for precious Beau.
