Party Recap...

It was perfect weather for and outdoor garden party to celebrate Bella's 5th Birthday.

Bella's favourite colours are pink and purple so this was the main colour theme highlighted with red and ladybirds.

The children enjoyed many outdoor games including Pass the parcel, Chocolate ladybird hunt, drawing station, pin the ladybird on the flower, dancing with ribbon wands party favors(made by me and available through ribbonwhirls@hotmail.com) jumpy castle and facepainting.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch of pies, pasties and sausage rolls as well as dips, platters, ham and cheese croissants, mini pizzas and ricotta and spinach triangles.

Of course the giant lollipops in the flower pots were a hit as well as the little bottles filled with pink lemonade and paper straws.

The dessert buffet was enjoyed by the children and adults alike. Pink macarons, flower and butterfly cookies and ladybird flower pop cookies were made by me. Honey popcorn, cupcake chocolates, rainbow fairy floss, strawberries and cream lollies, strawberry swirl marshmallows, cupcakes, fairy bread and fresh fruit were enjoyed for dessert.

The feature of the dessert table was the stunning 2 tier cake decorated with sugar ladybirds. The bottom tier was layered ganache and chocolate mud and the top tier was white chocolate and raspberry mud. It was made by a friend.

Little celophane bags with a thank you tag attached with a little ladybird peg were another party favor as well as cute chocolate bars with happy birthday wrappers and ribbon wands.

The printables used were free from catch my partys site designed by green apple paperie. The pink and purple was just perfect.

Bella had a great time and was spoilt with beautiful gifts. She was such a grown up five year old thanking everyone for coming.
