Supriya, thanks for the compliment! We actually took 2 plywood slabs purchased from Home Depot to make a 96x60 background. My husband built it for me as he loves to do that stuff. I then took fabric that I had purchased at Hobby Lobby and wrapped it around the plywood with a staple gun. In addition to the poster I made for Brooklyn, I designed it myself on photoshop and then took it to Fedex Kinkos and had them do a Engineer Print with it. It's much cheaper than poster printing. It only cost $5 with tax. I mounted it on a black foamboard I had purchased at Hobby Lobby with spray adhesive glue. I loved how it turned out once we hung it up on our backdrop! If you have any other questions, just let me know! Good luck on your baby's first birthday!

Angela, sorry that I'm just responding as I have just got back from vacation. I would be happy to design something for you. I could design a printable pdf version that you could print on your own for $25. It's very easy to do and cheap that way as you could buy some black foam board from Hobby Lobby and get it printed at Fed Ex Kinkos for only around $5 if you do an engineer print. That's what I did and I just glued it on there myself and it turned out great! Let me know if you are interested still!

Nicki, thanks for the compliments! It was alot of fun planning her party. Here is where I got all her decor: Triangle Banner: They sell these in plain white cardboard triangles that are already sewn together and ready to go at Hobby Lobby. I just bought chevron & polka dots scrapbooks sheets and cut each sheet to size and glued them on each white triangular piece. Colorful Boxes to elevate serving trays & plates: I purchased these from www.blumebox.com in the various sizes & colors. I loved these and provided height to the table. Decorative Cookies: I ordered those from Hayley's Cakes & Cookies from Austin and they shipped them to me. Green Stool to hold Smash Cake: Hobby Lobby. The White Frames: Ikea. The Rock Candy Vases: Bought the 3 square glass vases from Hobby Lobby and the colorful chocolate round candies and rock candy sticks from Party City. Green Silverware & Plate Holder: Spring Section of Hobby Lobby. The Letter One: Purchased the cardboard shaped one from hobby lobby and cut and glued scrabbook paper on there to match theme. The Fabric Garland: Purchased a variety of Fabrics from Hobby Lobby and made myself. Let me know if you have any questions and hope this helps! Good luck with your party!

I just used some pink yarn string that I had and it worked fine. I think any type of string would work great.
