Party Recap

We had a great Bubble Guppies party for my 2 year old son. He LOVES the show and its basically an obsession for him. Naturally I had to have the party before he got too big and BG wasn't cool anymore for him. ;) we had 5 other kids at the party. Had pizza, chicken salad, crackers, chips, cake, cupcakes and ice cream. It was very hot but the kids didn't seem to mind and wanted to play outside part of the time on our son's new slide/climber. I had bubbles, side walk chalk, balls and other toys set up for the kids who were so HAPPY and content! They really enjoyed themselves. And birthday boy did too!

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

Pizza, chicken salad, crackers, all kinds of chips, cupcakes, cake, and ice cream. Pizza was Little Ceaser's and the cupcakes and cake from Wal-Mart. We had juice for kids and tea and sodas for the rest.

  • What People Drank

Tea, sodas, water, Hugs juice drinks.

  • Best Moment

When the guys moved the slide/climber from the garage to the yard where it will stay. All the kids got sooo excited and the just ran with them. It was too cute! Birthday boy really loves it too.

  • Funniest Moment

During gift opening time and birthday boy reall could care less about all the gifts. He was more interested in his $.50 clearances bubble wand I had for all the kids instead of the many toys he had as gifts.

  • Most Touching Moment

Seeing one of our fave daycare workers make it to party. She was seriously injured in accident in May and was touch and go for awhile. Broke a lot of bones including both legs. She had just started walking with walker a couple days before the party. She was so blessed and so trilled to be at the party for our son. Really touching and exciting moment.

  • Best Dressed

Hmmmm I will say the birthday boy in his Bubble Guppies Tshirt. :)

  • Desserts

Cake (white/vanilla) and cupcakes (mix of white and chocolate). Also, ice cream from Blue Bell.

  • Party Favors

Bubble Guppies cups from Wal-Mart (.88) filled with candy and fruit gummies( my son's favorites). Also, bubbles which I forgot to remind the kids to take with them butter was used outside or spilled anyhow. :)

  • Activities / Games

Various outside toys, "ball" pit of all of my son's plastic balls in his kiddie pool (he has a ton and kids loved having them all together to pay), different kinds of bubbles, slide/climber. It was sooo hot that they stayed for about an hour and then we herded them in to eat cake and do gifts. They loved being outside even though I was worried it was too hot.

  • Budget

Ha! I don't know that I made one because I was really trying to do most from home. I did print out all the decorations, used items already had, bought several thins from Dollar General and Wal-Mart. The expensive part was the Step 2 Slide and Climber which was $200.00 from Toys R Us. Some of the grandparents helped with some food and drinks. The cake was only $15.00 and the cupcakes was 7.00 for 12. Ice cream was pricey sent I got the little cups at 5.88 for 12 of Blue Bell.

Hello!! I got the stuffed animals from the Nick Jr website. They had them on sale 3/$20.00. But I've seen them at Walmart and target and amazon website. I think they come individually. The sand boxes and bubbles were the favors. Those were cheap of course. But u could give the stuffed animals but would get expensive probably since they are about $ 5-10 a piece. I printed a lot of my decorations out from nick jr site as well for free. Have fun!! My little 2 yr old LOVES them still.

Oh I forgot! I did bubble guppies cups for .98 a piece at Walmart and put candy in them for favors. Ha! It was so crazy that day with kids everywhere I've already forgot what I did have. I had bubbles too but the sandboxes stayed with us at home cause he got a sand box for a gift too.
