Party Recap

My daughter wanted a sleepover for her 11th birthday. Earlier this year I saw a glamping party on HWTM that I loved and decieded to go with that theme. Throughout the year I saw other camping parties that inspired me. During the party the girls roasted hotdogs, went on a scavenger hunt, roasted s'mores, watched a movie outdoors with homemade popcorn, attended a star gazing talk lead by my older daughter who was camp counselor, made necklaces and bracelets, and laughed a lot.

The next morning they ate breakfast and then headed home.

It was a great party, but we were all exhausted the next day.

Did you print your own signs and labels? Where did you purchase all the craft supplies?

Yes, I made the signs and labels myself. For the Camp Adera sign outside the house I bought a piece of wood from the craft store, painted it brown, and then added raised stickers that I painted blue. For the sign above the fireplace inside. I used Adobe Photoshop to sign the sign and then sent it to Walmart to have it printed at poster size. For the books and the signs on the table I used Photoshop again. I bought digital paper to make it easier to design. I think I got it from Designer Digitals, but you can also buy it on Etsy. For the tshirts I found a simple squirrel design and then a fabric I liked. I waited until the shirts went on sale at Hobby Lobby and bought them. I then bought Steam a Seam which allows you to iron on the fabric. I traced the squirrel design onto the fabric, cut it out and then ironed them on. You can buy Steam a Seam at any craft store that sells sewing supplies. I purchased my craft supplies at Michaels, JoAnns, and Hobby Lobby. Since I planned it a few months ahead I was able to find items when they were on sale or use the 40% off coupons Hobby Lobby always has on their website.
