Party Recap

Camp Bridget was modeled after her brother's birthday party. We could not have the same party, so we took the idea and changed it to work for girly 7 year olds. It was a fantastic party with great pops of color and personality.

Decorations: The house was overflowing with tissue paper poms and flashlights hanging from the celling. We had two "Camp Bridget" banners. A faux fire and a tent were set up in the main room. Balloons covered the floor. The table was set with four faux fires and centerpieces made from S'more pops.

Food: We had a dessert table which included "Campdy"(candy), S'more pops, S'more cookies and cupcakes. For dinner we served hot dogs. We set up a "Trail Mix Bar" that included various snacks for the girls to much on during a movie after dinner.

Activities: We had 3 stations set-up in the main party room: Campicures, Critter Toss and Decorate a Flashlight. After all the girls had a chance to visit each station we went on a scavenger hunt, re-named a Bear Hunt to fit the camping theme. The story we told them was that a bear had stolen their s'mores. Once they followed all the clues they found a basket of pre-made s'mores that they gobbled up. After that it was time for Campo, or camping theme Bingo (a game we had played at Camp Charlie). They all loved this game, we played three times! At this point it was time for dinner and cupcakes. While they were eating we set - up the trail mix bar. After dinner was over they were each given a bag to fill up with whatever they wanted from the trail mix bar. They then laid out their sleeping bags and got ready to watch a movie. Before we started the movie we handed out God's Eyes that had been started before the party. Each girl was able to work on this during the mov ie which kept them from getting to wound up.

Favors: We had a small pink woven basket for each guest. In the basket was the flashlight they decorated, the god's eye they made, a s'more cookie, a s'more pop, and Campfire Stew (a mixture of tootsie rolls (beef), German chocolate marshmallows (potatoes), orange and green chocolates (peas and carrots). The baskets were under a sign that said "Grab some gear before you take a hike!"

This was such a fun party. I loved everything from the colors to the treats, but mostly loved the big smiles on everyone's face.

I absolutely love your decor! I am planning my little girl's camping party and would love to know how to replicate your labels and banner. I don't know where to begin, can you guide me?! I have not done any of this before.

Thank you so much Jenn! I am in the process of loading all the printed items into my ETSY store for sale. Take a look here: www.etsy.com/shop/dotanddashparties and if you are interested in the printed items send me a conversation and I can set up the listing for you. The invitation is actually already in there! Again thanks for your kind words - I did a version of this party for both my son and daughter and it will always be one of my very favorites!
