Party Recap

My sons, Carter & Clayton turned 9 and 7 in April. With the Florida weather already heating up, we celebrated with a fun summertime party featuring Sharks and Surf Boards. My husband and I made brightly colored surf boards out of plywood, paint and duct tape to use as a backdrop for the party. Guests enjoyed vanilla and strawberry cakes with buttercream frosting, as well as chocolate shark fin cupcakes. Sugar Cookies, Sunshine Fruit, Seaweed Dip (bacon, cheddar, ranch dip) & chips, Shark Bait (whale crackers) and various kinds of candy were also available for the guests to snack on. The main beverage of the day was Sharky Waters (blue Hawaiian Punch). Staying with the summer theme, we rented a tropical water slide that provided hours of entertainment. Kids also enjoyed playing in the sand pile, dirt mountain, kiddie pool, swing set and jungle gym, as well as having a water gun fight. At the end of the day, everyone was tired and happy and that let me know the party had been a success!
