Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

Chicken Tenders, Finger Sandwiches, Fresh Fruit, Raw Vegetables, Chips & Dips! New Orleans' snowballs provided cool refreshment!

  • What People Drank

Bottled water with party inspired labels. Colorful beverage straws for soft drinks were decorated with cat and dog design straw flags.

  • Desserts

"Dog-gone" Dog and Cat Cookies, Pup Cakes Cupcakes with Cat and Dog themed cupcake toppers, & Ice Cream! The birthday girls each had their own special cupcake topper with their names and bows! Cupcakes were served in pink dog bowls, which also contained bone shaped cookies!

  • Party Favors

"Doggie" Bags" were delightfully packaged bone shaped cookies with thank you tags that read "A treat for you!"

  • Activities / Games

Everyone enjoyed an afternoon of fun in the swimming pool and on the giant inflatable water slide! A ping pong table offered an additional activity for kids and adults.

  • Decorations

"Meow Time" and "It's A Pawty" posters greeted arriving guests. Yellow, pink, blue, and green balloons, party lanterns, and paper flowers created a great atmosphere. "Welcome to the Pawty" signs with adorable cat and dog images hung from the French doors, which were festively draped with decorative mesh. A "Happy Birthday" banner and posters with the name of each birthday girl decorated the area around the swimming pool. "Let's Pawty" centerpieces added interest to party tables.

  • Pet Adoption and Pet Pampering Stations

Guests were invited to adopt a stuffed kitten and puppy to give them a loving home. Black, brown, and gray puppies were available as were tiger striped kittens. Pets were administered special "vitamins." Cats and dogs received their collars, which their new owners were encouraged to decorate with "bling" at the Pet Pampering Station. Names were given to the pets and adoption certificates were issued! Pet carrier gift bags had a sticker for each child to record their name as the new pet owner.

I purchased 5" dogs and cats on Amazon. The dogs are cute but the cats are not. Can you share a recommendation for the plush used for this party. Really cute! I so appreciate any info you can provide. I'm having a hard time finding a dozen plush kitties!
