Party Recap

This unique and special party for Blake this year incorporated mostly hand crafted items that I custom made or re-purposed using things and materials I mostly already had. I did do some bartering for the cho cho train cars that held my ice cream toppings glasses by providing some embroidery services to the man who made them to scale with my ten dollar Ebay train engine I sourced. The venue location was also a barter in return for a hand painted Welcome sign for the venue incorporating the parlor's logo. The party cans were made from old gift cans that received new coordinating labels I printed on my printer. The cake toppers, cupcake wrappers, thank you bag labels, and bag toppers were designed and crafted on my computer as well. The table cover was made from 25 yards of fabric that was given to me a couple of years ago and since there was not enough yardage of one color, I chose to mix the fabric in the ruffled skirt. Dipped pretzel sticks were so quick and easy but the sugar cookies were really intense! The games were also hand made. The Pack the Suitcase game was a fun relay race that the kids really enjoyed playing. It was a different style of party than what you typically see for a 4 year old. The Birthday Boy and the guests had a lot of fun and this mom was super proud to plan, design, and create it and stay on a reasonable budget.

Where did you find the cookies? I absolutely love them. We're planning a Drive-In themed party for my sons 10th birthday and we're incorporating old cars. This would be perfect.
