Party Recap

My son (and daughter) adore Sesame Street. The party was so much fun. My husband drew faces of our favorite characters for me, my son, and my daughter to wear. We had Pigeon Parts (chicken thighs and drumsticks), Sloppy Joes, Pasta Salad and Pizza. I also made a punch! Desserts included, chocolate covered pretzels to represent crayons, chocolate covered sesame seeds, and lots of cookies for the cookie bar.

It took a week to make the chocolate lollipops but they were so worth it!

Too bad all the kids kept touching the displays. I guess that's a compliment? LOL

Hi Tammy :) I found an online tutorial for the cupcake stand - http://www.annies-eats.com/2010/08/19/how-to-make-a-cupcake-tower/ The Big Bird snacks are chocolate covered sunflower seeds.

I made Elmo's face out of balloons and before blowing them up, I placed a piece of paper in each balloon with a number on it. Guests had to pop a balloon to get a number. The guest that matched my number won! I placed the winning number in an envelope that a stuffed Elmo was holding. Hope that makes sense. LOL!
