Party Recap

Christmas Fiesta Book Launch
I created a Christmas Fiesta to celebrate my first published personal development book, “Event Planners Love Tacos: 7 Steps to Plan the Event of Your Life.” It only made sense to have tacos and vibrant colors to enhance the brand of the book. I had so much fun planning the Christmas party with do it yourself details and my glue gun!

Idea

Party Highlights

  • What People Ate

The food consisted of a taco and nacho buffet from Uncle Julio’s along with quesadillas, chips, salsa, and guacamole.

  • What People Drank

Sangrias, coffee, tea, soft drinks, water

  • Desserts

Mini cupcakes “Mistle Toe” Key Lime and “Santa Berry” cupcakes were created by S’more Minis. Sopapillas, puffed Mexican dessert sprinkled with powdered sugar were served with a honey dipping sauce. The chocolate piñata was a hit for all the adults, it was edible filled with churros and fresh fruit. The treats were devoured in a matter of minutes.

  • Party Favors

As guests arrived, they were given candy canes that were in sombreros. The taco piñatas served as both an activity and a party favor.

  • Activities / Games

The Fiesta started with LIVE music performances from Marisa Lander debuting her new hit song, “Gold.” Followed by Ayesha Thomas with songs from her new Holiday album, “My Christmas Favorites.” Next, my daughter blessed the Fiesta by saying a prayer. I gave a 15-minute recap of my book, “Event Planners Love Tacos” and discussed how it changed my life! I shared 3 of the 7 steps that helped me manage and achieve my personal goals of weight loss, goal setting, and growing my business. I made mini taco piñatas for the guests with candy on the inside. I asked them all to write down 3 dreams they want to achieve and put them inside the taco. My gift to them was to use my book to make their dreams come true, too. I asked guests to take out their phones to take selfies holding their mini taco piñata with the hashtag #eventplannerslovetacos to promote my book. They had a ball taking selfies! There were children at the party and we had a special taco piñata for them filled with candy.
