Party Recap
We combined our son's love of Indiana Jones and LEGO with this fun party theme.
Party Highlights
-
What People Ate
Hot dogs were served in individual bamboo trays. Fire Ants on a Log, dried cranberries on top of celery & peanut butter, were the highlight of the fruit and veggie table. The candy bar featured Speckled Snake Eggs (whopper easter eggs), Peruvian Crystals (rock candy suckers), Snake Surprise (gummy worms), Giant Spider Eggs (Yellow Gum Balls).
-
What People Drank
Blood of Kali, a very dark red punch based on a drink from the movie OR Jungle Juice, a green punch.
-
Desserts
An adventurous three-tier Temple of Doom cake decorated with fondant LEGO bricks and adorned with minifigs was served after lunch.
-
Party Favors
Party guests were able to take home loot from the candy bar in cool paper sacks made out of map paper. We also had gift bags filled with LEGO Bricks made from bright Wilton Candy Melts. Guests received friendship bracelets with their names in hieroglyphics as a Cartouche.
-
Activities / Games
When guests arrived they were able to design their own chalice (or Holy Grail) with various stick on gems. This super easy activity was a big hit with the kids. After eating, the kids were able to play at the museum, but they were more interested in shooting the "Poison" darts at felt targets. We seriously should have made more blow guns.
